Canadian Kids Are Tying Coats To Street Poles For The Homeless

November 30, 2015 By Hannah Alper Leave a Comment

It’s never too early to show what holiday spirit is really all about. Tara Smith-Atkins’ daughter collected the coats instead of asking for presents on her birthday, and had adult organize the clothing drive. The daughter and seven of her friends tied winter coats to telephone poles for the homeless to have so they’ll keep warm in the winter months.

Simple articles of clothing can make a person feel warm taken care of. Taking an idea like a clothing drive and doing something a bit different and interesting will catch everyone’s attention, including the media, to help further your cause. Think of what you’d like to change in the world, and make it happen!
